Hi everyone!
Spring is finally here! It was great to spend some time in NYC, but I must say, it is very nice to be back home in sunny California. This is my favorite time of year to get cooking as all of the beautiful California produce becomes available. Anybody have any favorite spring ingredients? I'm going to be home for a pretty good stretch right now as I await the birth of my new son, so I'm looking forward to some family time as well as the opportunity to really explore San Francisco and all of the great restaurants that it has to offer. I will be doing a demonstration at the Macy's Union Square Macy's in San Francisco on Thursday, April 26 at 6:00pm. If you'd like to come by and say 'hi', check out www.macys.com to RSVP.

(Page 2)17. Please disregard my comment about Falk Culinair copper pan covers. The cookware is excellent quality. I was having a bad hair day.

16. Hi,
I read Anthony's comment about Falk Culinair copperware available through copperpans.com. I have a set and I've enjoyed them for years. However, I recently dicovered that the covers are not solid copper like the pans. They're stainless steel with a copper plated surface. This isn't an issue for cooking as the cover really doesn't need to be solid copper to function properly, but the plating wears off over time after repeated cleanings and doesn't look very good. Also, Falk and Culinair fail to disclose this difference in their descriptions and the cost of the covers is much higher(~$100)than they're worth given that it's only steel. Falk and Copperpans.com should be more forthcoming about this product so buyers can make an informed decision before spending that kind of money on over priced covers.
